Melancholy

How can I walk away from someone I love
And take the road of friend;
Can I reroute the course I have taken and start over once again?

The answer given is IMPOSSIBLE.

I don't really want to let you go
But inside me I know I must;
The times we've loved . . . the times you've left
My heart says stay . . . but it's no longer possible.
We have shared so much together
Laughter . . . fun times . . . tears;

Yet sometimes we can't turn back time
But to walk away, and hopefully allows me to heal soon.

Tears can reveal so much about me.
But I choose to hide them behind my broken heart.

Now, I need to TELL MYSELF not to harbour any hope already.
As there is no TURNING POINT.
Pondering in the past...is of no use.

When I realised I cannot withhold...
I choose to escape from REALITY.
